Kazakhstan is not an EU country: what does that mean for your shipment?
Kazakhstan is a member of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU), along with Russia, Belarus and Kyrgyzstan, among others. This has direct consequences for customs procedures. Goods from the Netherlands leave the EU and must be cleared at the border. Depending on the route, this happens via Poland and Belarus, or via the Caucasus. Each route has different requirements, transit times and risks.
What you will need in any case: a correct invoice, packing list, CMR waybill and in many cases a certificate of origin. For certain product categories, additional requirements apply, such as conformity certificates or sanitary inspection.
